What is threading?

Threading is a unique and ancient method of removing facial hair, which has been practiced for more than 1,000 years across India, China and the Middle East. It is the incredible removal of unwanted hair using pure 100% cotton thread, by a therapist. The art of threading involves twisting a length of cotton thread, which is then rolled long the hairs that are to be removed. The 'twisting' action of the thread traps the unwanted hairs, and lifts them directly out of the follicles, deep from the root.

What are the advantages?

Threading is simple, save, fast and very effective and uses no products or heat. This treatment is the best alternative to waxing or using tweezers, and is perfect for clients with sensitive skins, as there are no side effects. (Waxing the eye brows stretches the delicate skin and can cause 'hooded' eyes, with risk of burning and occasional in growing hairs.)

Threading removes the tiniest of hairs, deep from the root, and therefore will last much longer than wax or tweezers. Threading is not what you would really call painful but obviously with hair removal there is a temporary twinge! However it is less painful than plucking and waxing for many.

As a method of hair removal, threading is know doubt the best for shaping the eyebrows as the hair is removed in very precise lines. The thread travels along the brow bone giving the perfect shape and a baby smooth finish. Traditionally threading is used on the entire face, including upper/lower lip, chin, eye brows, side burns and cheeks. It is also an excellent method hair removal for the hands, knuckles, fingers and toes.
